Proposed Flower Dressage Event
-------------------------------------------
-----------------The idea------------------
-------------------------------------------

The idea is to create a format for competitive flower dressage in SL.  Given the difficulty in judging flower dressage, the onus on scoring is not placed solely on performance, following lines and etiquette.  The ponies will be given a chance  to create a composition that involves all members of their group.

It is the complexity and aesthetics of the composition that will garner the ponies most of their marks.

How the ponies coordinate their movements, the way their vectors compliment one another, the timing of the ponies and the cohesiveness of the piece will all be judged.

-------------------------------------------
-----------Logistical considerations-------
-------------------------------------------

Scoring is done by a panel of 3 judges using a simple scoring guideline.  There will be spots to compete for up to 8 teams, and two wild-card teams, should time permit.

Each team must submit its composition 48 hours before the competition begins.  Teams are limited to 4 ponies, but  must contain at least 2.  The use of a Trainer to assist the team is optional (as it could be envisioned that a trainer  uses a whip command to begin the ponies off.

Why only a team event?
I wanted to make this event a team event because it is hoped to encourage people to train and work together, to be more of a social event than a competitive one.  By bringing teams into the mix, its my hope that training for the event will be as important as the event itself in this respect.

This hasn't been done before?
Well, there is nothing wrong with trying something different - especially is people have fun and something good comes out of it.  I hope people think the same and support the idea.  If I have enough messages of support, this event will definatly go ahead.
